Why Koogatag?

Nearly 10 million pets are lost each year! By registering your pet with KoogaPet, you can dramatically increase the chance for your pet’s safe return. KoogaPet provides a staff of trained professionals, available 24/7 to assist with a safe and swift recovery and return of your pet. By providing personal assistance, KoogaPet is able to provide a response focused on your pet’s specific needs and responses unavailable from (but able to work in conjunction with) embedded microchips or regular tags.

When you register your pet with KoogaPet, you receive a small, specially designed waterproof USB drive designed to clip to your pet’s collar. Embedded on the face of the KoogaTag is a unique ID number for your pet together with our toll free telephone number (888-898-LOST). Before clipping the USB Tag to your pets collar, plug it into the USB drive on your computer, go to our KoogaPet secure website, register your name, address, telephone number, pets name, breed, identifying color and marks, important care information for your pet, special food requirements, behavioral information, and upload a favorite photo of your pet.

If your pet is lost, the person finding your pet simply calls the KoogaPet telephone number where our trained staff is available 24/7 to respond to the call, contact you and coordinate the return of your pet. There is no need to take your pet to a shelter or veterinarian to scan an embedded microchip. However, if your pet already has a microchip our system provides the redundancy that any caring pet owner would desire for added protection.

You can print “Lost Pet” flyers including a photo of your pet (if uploaded) to post around your neighborhood to assist in identifying your pet. Once notified that your pet is lost, KoogaPet will immediately fax/email local shelters and veterinarians with all necessary information (which will include your pet’s picture). KoogaPet will continue notifying daily for up to 10 days.

For pet sitters or kennels, the Koogatag will supply them with the basic information needed for their special care, from food to medication schedules.

If your pet enjoys the water or you bath your pet you don’t need to remove the Koogatag as it’s specially designed and waterproof!

What the KoogaPet Service provides:

24/7 pet recovery call center. Unlike traditional tags, your pet does not run around with your telephone number. Rather, KoogaPet serves as a secure intermediary so that no personal information is available to the person who recovers your pet (after all, anyone can find your pet and while you would be grateful to them, you don’t necessarily want them to have your phone number and address!).

Tools to help maintain your pets safety and health.

Notification to local shelters and clinics of your missing pet via email/internet and will continue to do so daily for up to 10 days.

Provide a secure backup of all your pet’s information (including pictures) in case your tag is lost or the data stored on your computer is damaged due to fire, flood, viruses, etc.

How do I sign up?

To sign up for KoogaPet simply follow the steps at www.koogapet.com. As soon as you purchase your Koogatag, register it. If you are purchasing it online, it will be shipped to you.

Once you have the Koogatag tag, insert it into the USB port of your computer. You will be taken directly to the log in page to fill out your secure personal profile and your pet’s information.
